Nathaniel is one month old! {plus 2 days!} I cannot believe that we've been together for a whole month already; it seems like we just came home from the hospital. We've spent the past month getting to know each other while I juggle my roles as mother and wife. Nathaniel spends his days napping and nursing, with more than a few diaper changes in between! He's been spending more and more time awake daily--during which he loves to be outside on the deck or snuggled up listening to a bedtime story {He prefers English, Spanish, or French--thank you very much!}.
Nate's other favorite pastime is making dinosaur noises. He enjoys making them at all times, no matter where we are--during his meals, outside on the deck, at the store, while he sleeps, during storytime, in the middle of a church service! Dinosaur noises are a sign that this baby is a happy baby.
At his one month doctor appointment, we received all good news. Nate is now 21.75 inches long, and he weighs 7 lbs and 15 oz. In the doctor's words, our baby is "thriving"! The worst part of the appointment was Nate's second Hep B shot--which wasn't nearly as bad as Mommy had anticipated! Nate flinched, let out a single cry, then enjoyed his pacifier along with lots of cuddles. He got a Snoopy bandaid for all the trouble.
