1st Zoo Trip of the Year!

Thanks to my parents' generous Christmas gift of a zoo pass, we have been eagerly awaiting warm weather! And, thanks to the abnormally warm weather recently, we were finally able to visit our local zoo last weekend. Nathaniel loved visiting all the animals and riding the train! His favorite animal was a chicken that he eagerly approached and "quack quack"-ed at!

We took advantage of the gorgeous weather this weekend, and visited our local park, where the annual fall festival took place. Along with throngs of people, we enjoyed the local fair, craft booths, delicious treats (homemade pumpkin ice cream, anyone?), and free admission to the zoo! Nathaniel seemed to really enjoy getting out, people watching, eating a picnic lunch, and seeing the animals. His very favorite thing was petting the goats--he absolutely loved the baby goat!

After our big day, my boy was asleep in his carseat before we were even out of the parking lot!

We took a trip to the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium yesterday (it was part of Nate's Father's Day gift for Daddy!). Although this wasn't Nathaniel's very first trip to the zoo, it was his first trip that he enjoyed! We all had a wonderful time! (New Father's Day tradition...?!) And, since I'm sure that you're all very familiar with the concept of a zoo, I'll simply share some of our favorite photos from the day!

We took Nathaniel on his very first trip to the zoo this weekend.  Despite the fact that he slept through almost the entire trip, I'm pretty sure that he enjoyed it!  I love visiting the zoo, and I cannot wait to take Nate when he's a little older and more interested in the animals.
