Happy 2013!

I'm not usually the "New Year's Resolution" type of gal. I figure that if I want to be a better person, start exercising, or go on a diet, there's no real reason to wait for January to do it. (I do love me some lists and goals, so I'm no stranger to those!) With the single exception of New Year's Eve 2007 (when Eric proposed), there are no big memories of new years in my mind. For me, January 1st is usually not much different from any other day. To be honest, January is not usually a month to which I look forward. Those first three months of the year are my least favorite solely because of the cold, the dreary weather, and the lack of holidays. I hate being coped up in the house, and summer is simply too far away for me to be excited about it. For me, New Year's Day usually signifies the beginning of the "Blah Season."
But, this year is different! Maybe it's because our family seemed to be sick for the entire month of December? Maybe it's because Levi is finally out of the boring newborn phase? Maybe it's because I'm not pregnant and naseated all day long? Maybe it's because I'm tired of the Christmas clutter and want a tidy house? Maybe it's just that we need a fresh start? Whatever it is, I'm excited to begin 2013! 2012 was not a bad year by any means--it really was a great year for our family! But, it's over, and I'm ready to move on. I'm excited to see what 2013 has in store for us, and hope that it's as full of blessings as last year!
